About Us
The Waukesha Family YMCA has served Waukesha and the surrounding area since 1894, a remarkable record of stability and service. The Y is a part of the YMCA of the USA, the largest non-profit community service organization in America. We offer programs for everyone - people of all ages, races, religions, ages and incomes. Our mission says it well: "To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all."
Over the past 100 years, the YMCA has grown both in facility and programs allowing us to serve thousands of Waukesha County citizens every year in a positive way. Over 8,000 adults and children belong to the Waukesha Family YMCA and thousands more participate in our programs.
The YMCA provides programs for infants through adults. As a family-centered operation the primary goal of the YMCA is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all youth and families who participate in our programs. Programs and services are offered in aquatics, health and fitness, before and after school care, preschool and youth enrichment, gymnastics and dance and youth sports. The YMCA is a not-for-profit organization working alongside other organizations, businesses and individuals in Waukesha County to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
