The Waukesha Family YMCA has the following positions open:
School Age Gymnastics Instructor
Energetic applicant needs to provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for gymnasts and to act as a liason and champion for YMCA total health.
The ideal candidate would have a strong background in gymnastics or tumbling, could lift 50 pounds and is available in the evenings and some weekends. Please contact Jessica Goeden, Gymnastics and Dance Director, jgoeden@waukeshaymca.org.
Girls Team Gymnastics Coach
Energetic applicant needs to provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for gymnasts and to act as a liason and champion for YMCA total health.
Applicant should be able to motivate others in the areas of self-awareness, self-confidence and team building through gymnastics, be able to motivate and effectively communicate with members, parents and students, exercise mature judgment and sound decision-making. This position prefers the following requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to teach the development of gymanstics skills
- Ability to instruct and observe gymnasts in proper techniques
- Ability to lift equipment and to lift a small child
- Available levels and times:
- Team Level 3 - Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 - 7:30 PM, some Fridays
- Team Level 4 - Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, some Fridays
The Waukesha Family YMCA is also willing to train a qualified applicant if necessary.
Swim Instructor (Parent/Child, Preschool and Schoolage Classes)
Energetic applicant needs to provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes and to act as a liason and champion for YMCA total health.
Applicant should be able to motivate others in the areas of self-awareness and self-confidence through swimming and aquatics, be able to motivate and effectively communicate with members, parents and students, exercise mature judgment and sound decision-making. This position prefers the following requirements:
- Current state approved first-aid certification
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to teach the development of swimming skills
- Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques
- Ability to lift equipment and to lift a small child
Must be available from 4:00 - 7:45 PM
