Child Care
Nursery (6 weeks to 6 years)
The YMCA offers quality on-site care for children while parents are in the facility or participating in programs. Reservations are not required, but length of stay is limited based on child's age. YMCA staff will transport children to/from the Nursery to programs with advanced notice. Aquatic & outdoor programs not included in Y's Kid Shuttle.

Y Time Before and After School Care
Grades K - 6 (Runs during the school year only.)
Y Time, the Waukesha Family YMCA's Before and After School program, provides safe, quality care for children while you are at work.
Before school care is offered beginning at 7:00 AM and continues until the children are safely transported to school. After school care begins with YMCA staff picking up the children and transporting them to the YMCA. Children are provided a snack, receive homework assistance and may participate in a variety of physically active and educational programs until 6:00 PM each day.
Care is provided for children attending these Waukesha schools: Bethesda, Blair, Hawthorne, Heyer, Hadfield (mornings only) and Randall. Transportation to/from other schools may be available based upon enrollment numbers. Monthly fees apply.
1,2,3-A,B,C PRESCHOOL
- Instruction in Pre-K academics
- Children will enhance fine and large motor, cognitive, language and social skills in addition to improving self-confidence.
- Teaches pre-K academics.
- 4 and 5 year old program includes Spanish lessons each week.
- Reserve your child's spot today with a $25 nonrefundable deposit. Deposit may be applied to September payment only.

Y Staycation Days & One Day Camps

Grades K - 6
Themed arts & crafts, games, swimming, Kids' Gym, gymnastics and MORE! Bring a lunch, swim suit, towel and lock. Register at least 3 days in advance or a $5 late fee will apply. No transfers or online credits will be given within 3 days of program.

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Free extended care available:
7:00 - 8:30 AM and 4:30 - 6:00 PM
If the public school district is closed for the day, the YMCA will provide a Staycation Day for families in need of care. Though the YMCA does it's best to stay open, please give us a call to check that morning. These special days will include a variety of activities similar to Staycation Days.
