YMCA services are sought after by many communities that do not have a facility or programs in their immediate area. As a not for profit organization, the YMCA is committed to addressing community needs and can provide quality programs and services by utilizing existing facilities in your area. The YMCA seeks to further it's mission in Waukesha County. As the area continues to develop it is important for the YMCA to expand as well. The YMCA has targeted the Greater Sussex (North Central Waukesha County) area as a potential region for facility development. The Village of Sussex covets a YMCA facility and with the dedicated efforts of YMCA volunteers, initial work is underway to bring a YMCA facility to the area. Early work has included site analysis, program planning, community focus group meetings, facility design concepts and a capital campaign feasibility study.

While a great deal of pre-planning has been accomplished, much more is yet to come.  The YMCA has retained the services of a well-respected and highly successful fundraising firm to lead our capital campaign efforts which will raise the necessary funds to construct a YMCA facility.  Despite the economic challenges, we are optimistic that community leaders and donors will support this much needed and anticipated project.
